Recipe - Gory red velvet cupcakes

Ingredients (30 cupcakes at 60g)
Sponge cake batter
1,000g Dawn Red Velvet Crème Cake Base
350g Egg
300g Oil
225g Water

Cream frosting
200g Dawn Neutral Fond
200g Water
1000g Whipped cream
20g Dawn Vani-Star (Seeded Vanilla)

Red topping glaze
75g Water
300g Dawn Decorgel Plus Neutral
6g Dawn Strawberry Compound
Red Food Colour

Method
Sponge cake batter
Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl fitted with a beater. Mix for one minute on slow speed and then four minutes on medium speed

Deposit 60g into red cupcake cases. Bake at 180°C for 20 to 25 minutes

Cream frosting
Mix water with the Dawn Neutral Fond and Dawn Vani-Star, then fold in the whipped cream. Pipe the frosting in a swirl with a round nozzle

Red topping glaze
Warm up the Dawn Decorgel Plus Neutral with the water at 45ºC and mix in the Dawn Strawberry Compound and colour

Decoration
Decorate with the Dawn Shape-It
Add the Dawn Shape-It powder to a saucepan and heat on a medium heat until fully dissolved. Pour the hot liquid onto a silicone mat and allow to set hard. Break into pieces that represent glass shards

Brush the with the prepared red topping glaze and insert the pieces into the cupcake. Then drizzle more of the topping glaze onto the cupcake frosting to make it even more spooky
