BSA bulletin

Following our recent AGM, which was held in London close to the ExCeL Centre, I want to share a graphic that was presented to the audience explaining our membership demographic. We need; roasters, tea specialists, foodservice operators, innovators, disruptors, and green heroes.

We have a thriving, diverse membership at the Beverage Standards Association (BSA), which, as we approach Brexit and the uncertainties around it, will draw benefit from working together as a cohesive community.

We are looking at a platform that, together with our new currently in-build website, will encourage greater networking and forums for the undoubted skills and knowledge that we have as a member group. There are now two pop-up networking events in the pipeline. If you belong to any of the groups from the ‘we need’ section, please do get in touch with us here at the BSA via chairman@beveragestandardsassociation.co.uk.

With the recent growth and publicity around the out of home tea market, we are delighted to have several members, including Tregothnan Tea and the UK Tea Academy among others. As the primary association representing the whole Hot Beverage trade and the creators of the now globally recognised City and Guilds accredited and assured barista skills training courses, and, of course, our growing international training centres, we would be delighted to hear from prospective members and those who feel that their skills or opinion needs a wider audience.

So, come get involved, be heard, be influential and draw from a wealth of experience for a very low cost membership fee. I look forward to hearing from you!
