An impressive array of judges has been confirmed for the upcoming StrEAT Food Challenge, which is being organised by H2o Publishing and will be held in London on 8th May. A brand-new cook-off competition, entrants can vie for the title of Street Food Dish of the Year and £1,000 in prize money!
In order to be in with a chance of winning, market traders, quick service restaurants and casual dining operators need to enter their signature creations. The chosen finalists’ dishes will then be judged on the day by a prestigious panel, including Lee Desanges from Baked In Brick, a former British and European Street Food Awards champion; Mark Wetherill from Sodexo, a former StrEAT Food Awards winner; and Dan Fullarton, sales manager for Boxpark; and a representative from the Craft Guild of Chefs.
Not only that but the finalists will also get to show off their creative prowess in the Technical Round, which will see them take on a selection of ingredients provided by the event’s sponsors. Plus there’s a Wings Round, sponsored by Frank’s Hot Sauce, and the It’s A Wrap Round, sponsored by Major.
Entries for the StrEAT Food Challenge are open now until 15th March. Chefs and operators can enter now at www.streatfoodchallenge.co.uk.
The StrEAT Food Challenge is sponsored by Ajinomoto, Bewley’s, Electrolux Professional, Farm Frites, Frank’s Hot Sauce, Love Joes, Major and Planglow.
