LabTech, owners of Camden Market, recently announced the signing of Baba G’s, marking its first dine-in restaurant concept. Since winning My Million Pound Menu earlier this year, the Indian-inspired burger brand has been searching for a fitting bricks and mortar site to suit a restaurant offer.
Baba G’s has selected the North Yard to bring its acclaimed signature bhangra burgers to a new site that offers 50 covers inside. This debut follows Baba G’s London street food presence, launching in 2008 in Brixton and having started its Camden journey with a stall in the West Yard. It will be keeping the unit in the West Yard, while the new restaurant in North Yard will cement the opportunity to have a wider, more extensive menu alongside its signatures.
Liz Selway, co-founder of Baba G’s, said: “We have been in search of the perfect bricks and mortar site after our success on My Million Pound Menu and we’re pleased to confirm we’ll soon be part of Camden Market’s current revitalisation and opening our first sit-down restaurant within the North Yard. When the opportunity arose to see our brand grow further, Camden offered the energy and reflected the ethos of the Baba G experience, mixing up the signature bhangra burgers with inspired side shares and dishes for Camden’s diverse customer-base.”
North Yard is to become home to a brand-new, indoor selection of food and beverage operators, fusing the cobbled streets of The Stables Market with an enhanced area of dining options. Offering more of a sit-down experience, international variety and increased quality, Baba G’s will join a diverse line-u that, includes Kuku Riku, Roadkill, Pambam, Rudy’s Dirty Vegan Diner, Roly’s Fudge and The Camden Grocer.
