UCC Coffee UK and Ireland was recently upgraded to a grade AA standard during its latest British Retail Consortium (BRC) audit – the highest possible rating. Its roastery, which is based in Dartford, Kent, achieved the rating following a rigorous two-day inspection.
The BRC is the leading trade association for UK retailing, and its standards are recognised internationally as marks of quality. The grade AA rating is awarded to sites with exceptional site standards.
Elaine Swift, regional director (North) for UCC Coffee Europe, said: “This is a significant achievement for our roastery and validates not only our systems and procedures, but also our culture of continuous improvement. Achieving the highest-grade accreditation possible from the BRC is a further endorsement of our capabilities and commitment to our customers.”
