Deliveroo recently launched Pickup, its new click and collect service. The company says that the new feature will make it even easier for customers to access meals when and where they want by allowing them to order food for collection.
The service will also help people save time and money as they won’t have to wait in a queue for their order to be prepared or pay a delivery fee. This creates a faster option for customers to order food on Deliveroo in times of high demand.
Over 700 restaurants in 13 cities across the UK have already signed up to Pickup. Businesses such as Byron, PizzaExpress, Pizza Hut, TGI Friday’s, Frankie & Benny’s and Chiquito are already offering the service. Deliveroo expects the service to grow rapidly, anticipating over 10,000 restaurants to be offering it within the next 12 months.
Ajay Lakhwani, VP new businesses for Deliveroo, said: “Our new Pickup service will give customers even more opportunities to order amazing food from their favourite restaurants. Gone are the days of standing in a queue waiting to take your food away. Pickup customers can collect their meal exactly when they want.
“This service opens up even more choice and selection for consumers, while also providing a new revenue stream for restaurants. This is another move towards Deliveroo being the definitive food company, offering the widest selection of foods for all occasions.”
