The Top 100 Most Loved Eating Out Brands have been revealed, based on the opinions of 100,000 diners from across the UK. As well as listing which eating out brands consumers are most in love with – from the 100th place all the way to the number one spot – the new study also proves that a consumer’s love of an eating out brand is pivotal to its success.

JUST NIPPING TO THE PHOTOBOOTH
Just 5% of consumers think that hospitality establishments have spotless loos, a new study has found. Despite this, 28% will take a selfie in a restaurant, bar or nightclub loo, with 64% of 18- to 25-year-olds snapping away in a toilet.

WE’VE ONLY JUST VE-GAN
New research has shown that the current vegan pub offering is not quite hitting the right note with consumers. With veganism being an important and profitable trend – 29% of consumers are looking for vegan options when dining out of home – it appears many outlets are missing out on sales due to poor meat-free alternatives.

Managers and business owners from within the hospitality sector have issued an urgent call to action to improve employee access to mental wellbeing support. Nearly half (43%) of managers and business owners cite high stress levels as a key barrier to engaging and retaining workers.

STRONG AS AN OAKMAN
Oakman Inns has announced a continuing strong sales growth for the 13 weeks to 29th September 2019. The company’s like-for-like sales for the quarter were up 5.1%, with total sales of £10.9m representing a 15.7% growth over the same period last year.

LOOK! THERE’S A SPACE!
A new study has found that 70% of travellers are influenced by the car park when forming an opinion on a hotel, with the figure rising to 85% for millennials. The study also identified regional differences, with visitors from Greater London being most likely to report that the car park has an impact (83%).
