Tim Hortons recently opened its 25th restaurant in the UK, in Cumbernauld, Scotland. With an estate that includes seven drive-throughs, the brand ends 2019 on a high note having opened four new outlets in the last year.
Drive-throughs now represent a fast-growing part of the business. Hortons say that the format has proved continuously successful throughout the UK, allowing increased access for customers to access its products throughout the day. A new restaurant in Leicester city centre is the largest in the UK, with over 150 seats.
Kevin Hydes, chief commercial officer for Tim Hortons UK and Ireland, said: “2019 has seen us grow once again and open restaurants in new communities across the UK. Our drive-throughs, in particular, have been welcomed with great responses from our customers and continue to grow our business here. We can’t thank our loyal fans and guests enough for their support over the past year and look forward to greeting many more in 2020.”
