KFC opens flagship at The O2
The UK’s original fried chicken brand launches at The O2 on Monday 17th February

KFC has announced it is opening a brand-new flagship restaurant at the world’s most popular live entertainment, leisure, and retail destination, The O2, on Monday 17 February.
With more than 180 seats spread across two floors, the shiny new restaurant features ample space for customers to sit and tuck into KFC’s delicious fried chicken right at the heart of The O2’s Entertainment District. A full day-out destination conveniently located just 15 minutes from central London, there’s plenty to enjoy under one iconic roof at The O2, from outlet shopping to a range of leisure attractions.
To celebrate the opening, KFC is giving fans the chance to win free fried chicken and a whole host of other goodies by taking part in a series of activities, including a fried chicken-inspired ‘Spin to Win’ game.
The opening will create 50 new jobs in the local community. New team members will be provided with training and development opportunities to support their career progression at KFC.
'Flagship opening'
James Whitehorn, chief development officer at KFC UK & Ireland, said: “As one of the capital’s most iconic entertainment venues, The O2 is the perfect home for KFC. Whether you’re getting a late-night bite after a show, or a lighter lunch while browsing the shops, we can’t wait to serve up the UK’s favourite fried chicken to customers. We’re thrilled to be expanding our London footprint with this flagship opening, and we can’t wait to open our doors very soon!”
Janine Constantin-Russell, MD at the Entertainment District & Outlet Shopping at The O2, added: “We’re thrilled to be welcoming yet another household name to The O2 with the opening of KFC’s brand-new flagship restaurant. Joining over 30 bars and restaurants within our bustling Entertainment District, we have no doubt that KFC’s legendary fried chicken will be hugely popular with our customers and are proud to be the destination of choice for the brand’s first opening of the year.”
The new restaurant joins KFC’s portfolio of over 160 London restaurants serving the UK’s original fried chicken across the capital. The opening comes as KFC continues its expansion in the UK and Ireland. The company is aiming to open 500 new restaurants across the country over the next decade, a move set to create more than 20,000 jobs, support local economies and communities, and bring KFC’s chicken to more people, wherever they are.
