National Pizza Awards 2025 open for entries
Operators across the hospitality sector are now invited to submit their champion pizzas

The National Pizza Awards are set to return to London’s Big Penny Social in November, inviting chefs from the restaurant, street food and pub sectors to submit their best-selling recipes to be in with a chance of their pizza being named best in the UK.
The ninth instalment of the awards, headline sponsored by Birrificio Angelo Poretti, will showcase the talent of the nation’s top pizzaiolos, with competitors going head-to-head in a live cooking final in front of a hand-picked panel of industry judges.
Operators and chefs need to choose which pizza they think will go the distance and enter it online at nationalpizzaawards.co.uk. Following the entry process, 16 pizzas will be selected for the final.
On top of the signature round, finalists will take part in a technical challenge that will see them construct the best dish from a selection of sponsor ingredients, with the winner claiming the National Pizza Chef of the Year crown. A dedicated plant-based challenge will also see finalists face-off in a bid to bag the Alternative Slice Award.
Pizza party
“We’re already on the edge of our seats to find out who will win big this year,” says Genna Ash-Brown, editor of Dine Out magazine, which organises the event.
“The day-long pizza party is the ultimate celebration of the skill and camaraderie the sector has to offer, packed with passionate professionals and irresistible slices to boot!
“Every year, the National Pizza Awards gets bigger and better than the last, and we can’t to uncover the stellar line-up for 2025.”
Entries close on 5 September, with the live final taking place on Tuesday, 4 November.
