Barburrito celebrates 20th anniversary
With giveaways and a party planned for Manchester, Barburrito is celebrating its 20th anniversary in style
Barburrito, the UK’s original burrito bar, is proudly celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and marking the occasion with a range of exciting events for customers.
Born in Manchester’s Piccadilly Gardens in 2005, Barburrito was founded by a team of foodie fanatics who fell head over heels for Mexico’s spirited culture, sunshine, and most of all, its irresistible food.
On Tuesday 10 June, Barburrito will be giving away 100 free burritos on a first come, first served basis to app members at 3pm in nine of its iconic city locations across the UK:

• Edinburgh – Forrest Road
• Glasgow – Queen Street
• Liverpool ONE
• Sheffield – Meadowhall
• Manchester – Piccadilly Gardens
• Manchester – Arndale
• Manchester – Trafford Centre
• Nottingham – King Street
Birthday bash
On the same day, Barburrito will be throwing an epic birthday bash in Manchester’s Piccadilly Gardens from 11am to 5pm, right in front of its very first store. Burrito-lovers are invited to come and celebrate the incredible milestone and enjoy fresh, free food and drinks as well as games, competitions and loads of prizes. Several of Barburrito’s amazing suppliers will be making special guest appearances, alongside Trip, the iconic canned drink brand, who will be joining the fiesta on their colourful trike. Barburrito’s most loyal customers and biggest fans will receive VIP invites, treating them to a free feast for two at their local store .
Whether attending the fiesta or not, Barburrito will reward all of its loyalty members with a special 50% in-app gift reward to honour two decades of incredible support and a shared passion for exceptional Mexican food. Customers who come to visit in store can get stuck into the atmosphere, as every Barburrito location will be decked out in 20th birthday decorations.
