Dave's Hot Chicken begins national expansion

The UK’s food scene is heating up fast as Dave’s Hot Chicken expands beyond its London flagship with two major new sites — Birmingham and Manchester.

Following months of hour-long queues at its London debut on Shaftesbury Avenue, Dave’s is now set to take over key UK cities, promising fiery flavours and memorable dining experiences. 

The new sites

Birmingham New Street 

Opening next month (July 2025), Dave’s first site outside London is located at 56 New Street, an iconic Art Deco style corner building featuring distinctive curved balconies and a striking presence in the heart of Birmingham.

The 102-cover restaurant boasts a space-themed interior complete with UFO installations, holograms, and graffiti art inspired by renowned L.A. based street artists Splatterhaus and Dehmq, echoing the unique street art style found across Dave’s U.S. locations. Whether hitting the shops, catching a film at the nearby Odeon, or heading home via Birmingham New Street Station, Dave’s is set to become the king of Birmingham’s Chicken Quarter.

Manchester Printworks 

Hot on the heels of the Birmingham launch, Dave’s continues its national domination with its third UK location in Manchester’s iconic Printworks - open from the 8 August.

The 139-cover venue will take its cue from Manchester’s iconic warehouse rave scene with an industrial design - think towering ceilings, exposed steelwork, and laser lights for a truly immersive experience. In keeping with the Birmingham site, the interior designs will also be inspired by Splatterhaus and Dehm, combining the dynamic spirit of L.A with Manchester’s raw, creative vibe transporting guests into a whole new world of fried chicken indulgence.

'Food scenes to rival London'

Jim Attwood, managing director of Dave’s Hot Chicken UK, said: “Birmingham and Manchester are on the up, with food scenes to rival London’s. Opening up our next two locations here kicks off our national expansion, and we can’t wait to welcome our first fans through the doors.

The Birmingham and Manchester launches signal the start of a nationwide expansion, cementing Dave’s Hot Chicken as the hottest name in fast casual dining once again.
