Bread Ahead to open Manchester pop-up

Following a social media demand, Bread Ahead will be launching exclusively at Harvey Nichols

London bakery and baking school, Bread Ahead, is set to open its doors up North for the very first time.

Partnering with luxury retailer Harvey Nichols Manchester, Bread Ahead will launch its doughnut pop-up from Monday, 3 November.

Bread Ahead's Borough Market bakery sports a world map dotted with pins from fans far and wide. After a recent Instagram post asking where they should open next, the vast majority of followers said ‘Manchester’ – and Bread Ahead listened.

Matthew Jones, founder of Bread Ahead said: “We’ve long wanted to branch out regionally, and this felt like the perfect way to do it. Baking and education are so important to us, so we’re really excited to bring our doughnuts to the people of Manchester and thrilled to be working with Harvey Nichols. We hope this is just the first of many visits to Manchester – there’s so much more to come.”

Delightful donuts

Bread Ahead’s Manchester pop-up will showcase their full range of indulgent and generously filled favourites. Expect their beloved classics: Vanilla, Jam, Chocolate, Sea Salted Caramel, and Pistachio. Then there’s the world-famous Crème Brûlée doughnut, a London legend with around 5,000 sold daily.

Regional and seasonal specials include Pumpkin Crème Brûlée and S’mores, alongside Lemon Curd, Coconut, and Blackcurrant Cheesecake.

Bread Ahead will also be giving away a total of 1,000 free doughnuts across their first two launch days.

On Monday 3 November the first 500 people will receive free doughnuts from 10am at their brand-new pop-up inside Harvey Nichols Manchester (one per person, while stocks last). Then, for anyone who didn’t manage to bag one on day one, there’s another 500 free doughnuts ready to roll out from 10am on Tuesday 4 November.

The Bread Ahead pop-up will run for three months, located on the Ground Floor of Harvey Nichols Manchester.
