Wingstop opens first site in Cambridge

Wingstop’s first Cambridge site can be found in Lion Yard shopping centre

Located in the Lion Yard shopping centre in the city centre, the new 2,787 sq. ft site hosts 69 covers.

With historic colleges nearby and the lively energy of one of the UK’s most innovative cities, the new site is perfectly placed to welcome both students and local residents alike.

Diners can expect the full menu of wings, tenders and burgers all cooked to order and hand-sauced-and-tossed in Wingstop UKI’s bold flavours. Milkshakes, freestyle drinks, Camden Town Beer, as well as a churros selection for dessert are also on offer.

The opening advances Wingstop UKI’s ambitious growth plans, including its recently announced plans to expand into Ireland.

The brand currently operates 79 sites across the UK and employs over 3,000 people, with plans to grow as many as 200 sites within the next five years.

Chris Sherriff, CEO at Wingstop UKI, said: “Cambridge has been on our minds for a long time, and we’re so excited to finally share our signature flavours with the city. It’s such a vibrant place, full of learning, creativity, and culture, and that energy feels like a perfect match for us. We can’t wait to settle in, get to know the community, and serve up the wings and flavours we love. None of this would be possible without our incredible team — a huge thank you to them for bringing Flavour to this historic city!”
