Subway’s first drive-through site in the south of England has opened at a new development in Swindon. Located underneath a Travelodge hotel, which makes up part of the development, the new drive-through provides drivers and hotel residents with easy access to a wide selection of subs, salads and wraps, with seating provided for 32.
The new store is owned by franchise owners Steve and Sue Pasco. The duo currently own 15 Subway stores in Bristol and the surrounding area.
Sue Pasco said: “We’re delighted to have opened our first drive-through store and also the first for Subway in the south of England. The store is in a great location, situated on a busy main road and close to a retail park – perfect for hungry shoppers and passers-by to stop in for a quick and convenient meal or snack.”
Colin Hughes, country director for Subway UK and Ireland, added: “Subway is always looking for great locations to open new stores. Drive-through sites open up new possibilities for our guests, in that they don’t even need to leave the comfort of their own car to enjoy our wide product range.”
The store marks Subway’s sixth drive-through site to open in the UK and Ireland. With more than 2,500 stores across the UK and Ireland, and over 43,000 stores in over 110 countries, Subway is the world’s largest sandwich franchise.
