Electrician takes on chicken wing franchise

A franchise site of Wingers, The Chicken Wing Company, has opened in Aldridge, Birmingham, after an electrician worked on installations at other Wingers sites.

The Aldridge franchise has been opened by electrician Jack Davis and his dad Kem after working his day job and helping ready five other Wingers restaurants.

"We’ve completed the electrical installation for five high street Wingers restaurants, plus a dark kitchen," says Jack. "I spoke to one of the founders, Bill Sunner, about investment opportunities and some weeks later he phoned to say he’d found the perfect site on Aldridge high street. Suddenly the idea of becoming a Wingers franchisee took off."

Jack's training took place in the Lichfield store during the summer, where he learned all the behind the scenes processes, from ordering and food hygiene to doing the books and stock control."

"Aldridge has been busy from day one, exceeding all targets and expectations," he says. "However, I’m not planning to give up the day job just yet and will continue being an electrician."
