Chipotle opens in East Dulwich

Chipotle Mexican Grill recently opened a new restaurant on Lordship Lane in the East Dulwich suburb of London. The chain currently has 16 locations in the greater London area and is the only company of its size that owns and operates all of its restaurants in North America and Europe.

Over the summer, the company opened its first location in Surrey, as well as a location at the O2 Entertainment district. Chipotle was recently named the best place to grab lunch at the Just Eat Best 2023 Restaurant Awards, with the brand’s burrito also being the top trending dish in the UK in 2022, according to Deliveroo's annual report.

Jacob Sumner, director of European operations for Chipotle, said: “We are always looking for new communities to expand access to our real, fresh ingredients and Lordship Lane is the perfect venue. As an innovator in the food industry, our fast-casual offering and purpose to cultivate a better world complement the dynamic pace of the destination.”
