Delivery and takeaway sales continue to grow in April
Hospitality sales grew 2.2% year-on-year in the past 12 weeks

Coffee, sandwiches, fast food, takeaway and delivery continue to be the best performing market sector in April.
According to CGA by NIQ's latest Hospitality at Home Tracker, strong like-for-like trading in the category is nearly double the country's inflation rate.
Measured by the Consumer Prices Index, delivery and takeaway sales show year-on-year growth of 4.5%. This is also the highest figure seen for 2024.
While restaurant, pub and bar groups saw a year-on-year drop in sales of 1.7% in April.
Deliveries increased the share of at-home sales for restaurants via takeaway and click and collect orders in April. Deliveries recorded like-for-like growth of 8.9% last month, while the value of takeaway and click-and-collect orders dropped by 2.5%.
Deliveries attraacted 57.9% of all at-home orders by volume in April.
