Wingers opens five new sites with more on the horizon

Wingers, which now has 11 venues trading successfully, aims to have 20 stores open across the UK by the end of 2024

Chicken wing brand, Wingers, has opened five new franchised stores this year.

Wingers plans to have 20 open stores by the end of 2024 and 50 by 2028.

The five new franchised store openings include: Telford, Watford, West Bridgford, The Taproom in Harborne high street, Birmingham and Birmingham International Train Station.

Wingers started in 2020 by brother Amran and Dylan Sunner as a dark kitchen. Their father Bill launched it as a franchise in the autumn of 2022.

It currently operates 11 sites and is looking to expand across north east and north west of England and Scotland.

'New heights'

Amran Sunner, co-founder and operations director of Wingers says: "We are now ready to take Wingers to new heights. Our goal is to open 50 stores within the next four years, so we are now looking to work with more QSR professionals and experienced business people to manage our planned pipeline of stores on a franchised basis in key development areas.

"The areas include the North East and North West, on the M1 and M6 corridors and in cities like Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield. We are also looking into expanding in Scotland in Edinburgh and Glasgow."
