Entries for National Burger Awards 2025 now open
The event will take place 11 February where the top 16 chefs will cook-off live
Entries for the 2025 National Burger Awards are now open, with chefs across the UK restaurant, food-to-go, hotel and pub and bar sectors invited to submit their very best signature burger recipes.
Back for its 11th instalment and hot off the heels of the 10th-anniversary Champion of Champions event, the competition will showcase the most irresistible burger creations from all over the UK. On 11 February 2025, finalists will head to London's Big Penny Social to face off in a live showdown to decide which business is cooking up the National Burger of the Year.
The event will see competitors take part in a Signature Round, the winner of which will be chosen by a hand-picked panel of expert industry judges. They will also participate in a Technical challenge, requiring them to whip up the best burger from a selection of sponsor ingredients. Finalists must also construct the best Plant-Based burger in a round sponsored by Redefine Meat.
“We're back to the business of scouring the nation to find which foodie outlet is the proud purveyor of the UK's finest burger,” says Genna Ash-Brown, editor of Dine Out magazine, which runs the awards alongside sister titles OOH and Pub & Bar.
“Two-time winner Bleecker currently holds the crown, but it really is anyone's game – who knows who'll swoop in and bag this coveted award? Whether it's an up-and-coming indie with a passionate cult following or a well-known brand that consistently delivers, it's guaranteed to be a burger celebration you won't want to miss!"
Entries close on 31 December, with the live final taking place at London’s Big Penny Social on 11 February. Head to nationalburgerawards.co.uk to submit your entry.
