GDK offering first ‘doner breakfast’

German Doner Kebab (GDK) is now serving up the UK’s first Doner Breakfast menu. It is initially available at the chain’s first-ever motorway services concept, at Baldock Services in Hertfordshire, as well as from its outlet in Holborn in London.

The new menu features a selection of morning options, including the Doner Egg Brioche and the Big Breakfast Wrap. The latter is loaded with doner meat, two free-range eggs, hash brown bites, sliced tomatoes, onion and GDK’s signature melted cheese and yoghurt sauce.

Simon Wallis, chief executive officer of GDK, said: “We have been revolutionising the kebab across the UK and it is a huge moment for the brand to now make our game-changing kebabs available at breakfast. It’s also hugely exciting to open our first motorway services concept, as we continue on our journey of reaching more consumers throughout the country, demonstrating the flexibility of both our product and our restaurant format.”

GDK now has over 130 restaurants in the UK alone.
