Tortilla launches cheeseburger smash burrito
Tortilla is launching the first ever cheeseburger smash burrito for the high street — the ultimate mash up of burritos, tacos and quesadillas
The innovative chefs at Tortilla have created the Tortilla ‘Beef Smash’ burrito which has been designed to taste just like a cheeseburger.
This new offering has been created alongside a whole new ‘smashed’ range of dishes.
For a limited time only the ‘Smash range’ features the Smash Tres Tacos, Smash Burrito or Naked Burrito, Smash Quesadilla and Smash Nachos Queso.
The cheeseburger-flavoured beef smash is a savoury blend seasoned with a tangy mix of ketchup, mustard and mayo, creating the familiar taste. The perfectly balanced combination gives the beef a rich flavour with a hint of sweetness and a slight tang, perfectly seasoned and irresistibly delicious!
Tortilla has designed the new dishes to bring the iconic cheeseburger experience to every burrito or taco bite. The partnership coincides with the cheeseburger’s 100th birthday which is believed to have originated in Pasadena, California. A perfect match for Tortilla’s Cali-style burritos and tacos.
These unique limited time menu items will be available from Tuesday, September 3, for six weeks, subject to availability and for Burrito Society members the dishes will gain two stamps via the new Tortilla app.

Tortilla is also bringing back the customer favourite - Taco Tuesdays from September 10 – October 15. Burrito Society members via the new Tortilla app will get two smash tacos for the price of one if they visit after 3pm.
Last month Tortilla Mexican Grill, the largest and most successful fast-casual Mexican restaurant group in Europe, launched its first ever app including a new loyalty programme – The Burrito Society. The new app brings together like-minded burrito fans, rewarding customers for their loyalty.
